Some of our scheduled events include, but are not limited to,:

  • All-Breed Non-Conformation Super Awesome Games

We have rented a pavilion along with a wide expanse of field at Caledonia State Park near Fayetteville, Pennsylvania for the ISSDC/Mid-Atlantic Region’s Annual Barktoberfest Event.

We have SO MUCH FUN planned for everyone this year. Like past B-fests, this will be a casual weekend to hang out with friends, love on plenty of Shilohs and Shilohs-by-association, and earn some show points. We’ll hold a conformation show on Saturday morning and the second on Sunday afternoon, we’re offering All-Breed Non-Conformation Super Awesome Games (yes, that’s the official title) that will include games, competition, and hilarity. And prizes, of course! We had to offer some kind of incentive to get you to participate in an eleven-legged race. Yes, you read that right, eleven legs.

An agility ring will be set up if you’d like to run your dog through the course. Temperament Tests & CGC Testing will be offered on Saturday afternoon. A burgers/hotdogs lunch on Saturday and grilled brats and sauerkraut (our nod to Oktoberfest) on Sunday will be available for purchase, as well as coffee on Sunday morning if we can make the logistics work. We’d like to see everyone get together for dinner on Saturday evening at the hotel conference room and, of course, hotel shenanigans are always on the schedule!

We do encourage participants to pre-register so we can estimate how much food and drink we’ll need. No one wants to drive home on Sunday afternoon with 150 cans of Diet Coke that weren’t consumed. Follow the links to the left for detailed information about the show.

And lastly, we’d like to offer raffle baskets with the proceeds going to the ISSDC/Mid-Atlantic Holter Program and other endeavors that support the ISSDC’s mission. DOG RULES
  • Friendly Dogs Are Welcome!
  • All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccine.
  • All dogs must remain on leashes.
  • Clean up after your pet. We are visitors to this wonderful park and want to come back.
  • Well behaved dogs are welcome at our evening social events.
  • Respect and abide by all rules set forth by the Park Service and the Hotel.
