Some of our scheduled events include, but are not limited to:

  • Two (2) Shiloh Shepherd Specialty Shows
  • CGC, Temperament Testing & Shiloh Breed Ambassador Testing
  • Rally & Scent Work
  • Catered Lunches
  • Halloween Themed Event – dress up and we’ll choose the best costume for a prize. Decorate your Tent!
  • We have rented a pavilion along with a wide expanse of field at Caledonia State Park near Fayetteville, Pennsylvania for the ISSDC/Mid-Atlantic Region’s Annual Barktoberfest Event.

We have SO MUCH FUN planned for everyone this year. Like past Barktoberfests, this will be a casual weekend to hang out with friends, love on plenty of Shilohs and Shilohs-by-association, and earn some show points. We’ll hold a conformation show on Saturday and a second one on Sunday.

We do encourage participants to pre-register so we can estimate how much food and drink we’ll need. Follow the links below for detailed information about the show.

please note: no cars are allowed on the show grounds or access road; parking is available in adjacent lot. As per last year, we will be able to drive down to the bridge at predetermined times for drop-off and take-out.

DOG RULES

Dog Rules, General:

      • Friendly Dogs Are Welcome!
      • All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccine.
      • All dogs must remain on leashes.
      • All dogs must be kept secure to avoid them breaking loose while trying to find their owners or relief from the heat.
      • Clean up after your pet. We are visitors to this wonderful park and want to come back.
      • Well behaved dogs are welcome at our evening social events.
      • Respect and abide by all rules set forth by the event location(s).

Aggressive Dogs Policy:

      • Aggressive dogs, defined as those exhibiting threatening behaviors such as growling, lunging, or have a known bite history, are strictly prohibited from shows. If a dog displays aggression, it will be immediately removed, and the owner/handler may face disqualification without refund. Future participation may also be restricted after further review by the BOD. For the safety of all, these rules are rigorously enforced at ISSDC-sponsored shows.

FEE SCHEDULE

PRE-ENTRY PER SHOW :deadline October 3, 2025

      • $25.00 – 2-6 month puppies – members
      • $30.00 – 2-6 month puppies – non-members
      • $30.00 – all others – members
      • $35.00 – all others – non-members

ALL SHOWS – BULK DISCOUNT

      • $5.00 discount per event when you register for ALL shows

DAY OF SHOW ENTRY PER SHOW

      • $40.00 – all dogs, regardless of age
        Credit Cards and Cash ONLY accepted for payment. No Checks!

LUNCH MEALS

      • $20.00/person Saturday
      • $20.00/person Sunday
      • $35.00/Saturday & Sunday combined

TEMPERAMENT TESTING (must have a minimum of five participants)

      • $15.00 per dog
      • must be 12 months or older; proof of rabies required

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC)

      • $20.00 per dog

SHILOH BREED AMBASSADOR TESTING

      • $15.00 per dog

The Shiloh Breed Ambassador Tests were developed to allow more titling opportunities for the Shiloh community. By completing the Shiloh Breed Ambassador Testing levels, breeders and owners alike have the ability to prove their Shilohs are temperamentally sound and well-educated citizens. Further assuring we push as a community to motivate/support representatives of the Shiloh  Shepherd breed!

By registering for the event, the dog owner, or its representative, hereby assumes all risks of, and responsibility for, accidents and/or damage to her/himself or to her/his property or to others, resulting from the actions of her/his dog. The owner expressly agrees that the ISSDC and its assignees or any other person, or persons, of said groups, shall not be held liable personally, or collectively, under any circumstances, for injury, and/or damage to her/himself, for loss or injury to property, whether due to uncontrolled dogs or negligence of any member of said groups, or any other cause, or causes. The owner also agrees to assume all financial liability that may be incurred by the ISSDC due to the actions of themselves or their dogs regardless of the cause.

Our Events are the perfect place for EVERYONE! Whether a long-time owner, someone waiting for their new puppy, or simply interested in learning about the breed, our events are the perfect place to meet Shiloh Shepherds. You do not need to participate in the show to come.
