Rogue and Poppy complement each other in so many unspeakable ways. Their "type" is incredibly similar despite their diverse bloodlines. Both share beautifully substantial heads, great stops, correct saber tails, excellent coat plus exceptionally rich color, small triangular ears with correct ear sets, intelligent and attentive expressions, and very correct overall proportions to the breed standard. Poppy had been swimming in our pond (as per usual) just prior to this picture, so please appreciate her "natural state". LOL It's like a match made in heaven despite the DISTANCE of course! We will be AI'ing Poppy with Fresh Chilled Semen as Poppy is in Ontario Canada and Rogue is in California! I wished we lived next door to one another, but alas ...sometimes you have to go the distance! GOING THE DISTANCE is what I anticipate this litter will do! Poppy has proven herself to be an excellent mama, as anyone who knows our Poppy/Chain babies will attest to. I can't tell you how immensely proud I am of her. She is truly a beautiful girl through and through. Rogue is a pretty amazing boy himself! He's a total sweet-heart, and reportedly quite similar in temperament to Poppy's dad "Carter". Rogue is so close in phenotype to Poppy that despite the genetic diversity of their combination, I expect to lock in a good deal of similar and "correct" type in their get. There's some fairly recent MAW lines that we're doubling up on in this pairing, so this should ensure strong "Shilohness". But there's a nicely reduced "percent of blood" on the typically inbred foundation dogs seen in most Shiloh pedigrees. This pairing represents the best of the best to go forward, with MUCH consideration of all associated ancestors. The Co-Effiencient of Inbreeding on Rogue/Poppy is 7.87%. I'd be happy to email the entire pedigree report upon request. I anticipate a great blend of type and temperament with this combination! I thank Sierra Shiloh's for the opportunity to take Rogue to our sweet Poppy girl. This will be an all plush breeding between Shade and Mace. Shade's litter was fantastic out of Chain and so while we would love to repeat that breeding it is time to use some of Chain's progeny. Shade is our huge female and we are so pleased with her first litter, they are growing like weeds and are sure to be some really good sized dogs! upcoming breeding of Odin to Marley. Odin is very muscular with a massive neck, a deep, wide chest, a broad head and muzzle and again, nicely set ears. He has a stocky, well-proportioned build with a fantastic thick-full straight tail. His appearance will stop anyone in his or her tracks, but if you’re familiar with him you know he is a "Gentle Giant.” His gentle temperament is outstanding along with his impeccable bone structure. Don’t let his build intimidate you because that is not the case, he is just a puppy in a big dog suit. The best part about Odin is that all of this comes in a wonderful loving package that is wrapped in a heart of gold. Odin has proven to pass all of these wonderful traits to his remarkable progeny. This is a breeding that we’ve been privileged of having a sneak peek at; Odin was bred to Marley’s sister this past fall, together they produced beautiful puppies with the most amazing lush and long coats I have ever seen! She has dedicated herself to being my mother's constant companion, a very loving and loyal family guardian. Fina's progeny all posess her outstanding temperament and carry on the guardian tradition. Sage is an NAKC/RARITIES Master Supreme Grand Champion and a Registered Pet Therapy dog who volunteers at the Children’s Behavioral Program at Underwood Hospital in Woodbury, NJ. He has beautiful movement, good size, and great boning and he has produced that in his puppies. Bearpaw and Ridgewood Shilohs are thrilled and filled with anticipation over the up coming birth of the Coco/Ruger puppies! Coco is a very sweet, very pretty bi black sable and tan smooth coat. Penn Hips are 0.39 in both hips. Her elbows are OFA Normal, heart OFA Normal, thyroid and TLI Normal. Ruger is a beautiful bi black and cream dual. In addition to his very large size, wicketed 30’, his Penn Hip numbers are 0.27 in both hips, OFA Normal elbows, heart, and thyroid. He also has his Cerf, normal TLI and clear back x-ray. Coco and Ru have wonderful medium soft temperaments. Both are always ready for anything and love outdoor activities especially playing ball. As with all Shiloh’s, they are very devoted to their families, both love meeting new people especially children. When they are not running mach five with their fur flying outside, they can be found cuddled up with Mom or Dad taking up most of the sofa. These two have the perfect play to couch potato ratio! High Caliber Shilohs is thrilled to announce what is sure to be an exceptional litter. In the spring of 2010, our stunning girl, Terra, will be bred with Adirondack Shilohs' magnificent Aquilo. Both are wonderful examples of breed conformation and temperament and their puppies will be considered full Shilohs. Terra is a sweet, athletic girl with lots of substance. She is a great mover with a gorgeous, blocky head and nice ears, thick, soft coat, beautiful saber tail, and good bone with a wide chest and straight front and rear. She is a confident girl, but also very friendly and gentle with children, other dogs and small animals. In just over 6 months, she has earned her breed championship and Rarities/NAKC international championship, Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International Certificates, completed beginning and intermediate agility classes, and earned more than half the points needed for her NKC championship. Terra is a practicing therapy dog, and she is very intelligent and willing to please. Aquilo is a well balanced, gray sable with a thick, long plush coat. He has a broad head and nice ear-set, perfectly thick saber tail, and possesses effortless movement. He has a classic combination of confidence and intelligence, which is matched only by his clownish personality. He is sporty, preferring Frisbee and challenging hikes. Aquilo is a multiple Best in Show winner, a breed, American, Canadian, and Rarities/NAKC champion. Outside of the ring, he has earned his Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International Certificates, and is a practicing therapy dog. We expect this pairing to produce pups with nice size and substance, beautiful movement, exceptional heads, and great overall balance and conformation. Sequoia Shiloh Shepherds of Maryland and JnL Pocono Shiloh Shepherds of Pennsylvania are thrilled to announce the pairing of "Sassafrass" and "Coz." this breeding promises to produce incredible puppies for showing, breeding and as loving family companions with great potential for herding, dog therapy and obedience work. These plush puppies should have a spectacular variety of vibrant coloration including sables and duals. Their temperaments should be medium soft to medium. Both "Sassy" and "Coz" have been described as having great sense of humor and both are cuddle bugs (official dog term!). Coz does everything with a smile. His personality is sweet and happy. At 18 months he took one of 3 dwarve horses and herded him out of my arena and into his stall, a distance of 150 ft. He has passed all of his health testing with OFA excellent hips. Sassy is as happy-go-lucky as any dog we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is daddy's girl and jumps in his lap everytime she can to prove it. She has been a regular momma dog to our puppies and herding them and helping to raise them. Sassy loves to move the pack around the yard, herding is in her blood. She also loves children, our pet sitter brings his 2 year old over just to play. She is a joy to be with and always brings laughter with her. This will be Sassy's second litter. Keystone’s Scarlet’s Ember is a beautiful plush golden sable with rich pigmentation. She is a third generation double new blood, with Orbit from Keystones Jasper Jax O’Zion and Artus from Jersey’s Midnight Run ODS Zion. Ember is a happy girl that is big boned, has a gorgeous broad head including a great stop, and exhibits beautiful movement. Ember is the perfect combination of Artus, Orbit and old line Shiloh. She inherits her stamina and heavy bone from the Artus lines, brings size from the Orbit lines and her intelligence and loyal nature from the old Shiloh lines behind her. bCH Glorious Elvis von Europa is the epitome of what a Shiloh Shepherd should be. He is a dark grey sable plush coated Shiloh with incredible size, bone, a nice big broad head, great pigment and a true Shiloh temperament. He has an impeccable set of old Shiloh lines behind him which include Bo/Jewel and Shep/Trinka. He has already sired some exceptional litters and his offspring continue to showcase his lines. He has reliably passed on his laid back temperament to his offspring. Elvis brings good movement, great temperament, and impressive size as well as a beautiful head and ears to the equation. These puppies combine pure old Shiloh lines via Elvis with the new blood of both Orbit and Artus via Ember. We anticipate Shilohs with big bone structure, broad heads, height, nice movement and a willingness to please. All puppies will be plush coated and we expect colors of rich golden browns, gray sables and possible duals. Both parents have had extensive health testing and have passed with above average results.
