Shadow Hill Shilohs

I was very excited to discover the Shiloh Shepherd breed in '96 and began my research immediately. After careful selection, I brought home a plush male puppy the following year. He is the dog of my dreams, his name is Ch Shadow Hill Shilo O'Freestate CD, HIT.

Throughout the years our Shiloh family has grown to include Ch Shadow Hill's Destiny By Zion HIT - plush, Ch Ptd Zion's Spirit Of The Skywolf HCT & JHD - smooth (Wolf is the 2nd recognized Shiloh in the history of the breed to earn these distinct awards from the American Herding Breed Association) and Destiny's Angelfire Of Shadow Hill - smooth.  As a breeder, I promote plush and smooth coat varieties equally. Destiny and Wolf produced an exceptional litter last year - the 3 largest males are 30+ inches and are in the 130-145 lb range at only 15 months of age!

On a personal level, I have been training dogs professionally since '76.  I have acquired titles in Obedience, Herding, Conformation, Field, and Tracking. I am currently in charge of the training program at Serendipity Animal Sanctuary in VA where I am involved with canine rescue, rehabilitation and coordinating adoptions.  I am an active member of the Shiloh Shepherd community and served 4 years as President of my regional club. In that role, I organized several performance opportunities to benefit pet owners and breeders alike. My two year mission to achieve permanent AHBA recognition for the breed was accomplished in '04.  I am a strong advocate - striving to preserve the Shiloh's natural heritage as a shepherd, the family guardian and their overall versatility as an outstanding companion and working dog. The focus of Shadow Hill's breeding program revolves around steadfast temperaments and superior trainability.

Shadow Hill is located on 10 secluded acres of beautiful woodlands in wild, wonderful West Virginia.  My 6 dogs are cherished members of the family and live indoors. My puppies are as precious to me as my own children and are treated as such. They are raised with much loving care and are available to approved homes only.
